The First is the center of Paris, and to many, its very heart. It's home to The Louvre, the Tuileries Gardens, the Palais Royale and the Place Vendôme. There are fewer residents than businesses, and it's expensive. Les Halles, which used to be the main market for the city, is now the largest shopping mall in Paris, Forum des Halles. It's a beautiful quarter filled with activities for tourists and also has some of the nicest (expensive) hotels in Paris.
