Although The Hotel is all newly redone, the rooftop sign still says "The Tiffany" because it's a landmark and can't be removed . The American designer Todd Oldham was responsible for the refurbishment, and his playfulness is evident throughout. "The guests are the artwork," he said, "that's why there are no paintings or pictures in the rooms."

What there are, though, are brightly-colored tiles and furnishings, geometric shapes and tie-dye, sleekly handsome wardrobes and desks, all within a thoroughly modern and hip establishment. The rooftop pool is a haven; the pool bubbles like an oversized hot tub while cool mist surrounds the cabanas. The view out to the ocean is supreme, especially near sunset when the cruise ships depart.

The Hotel is steps away from trendy Ocean Drive and the chi-chi shops of Collins Avenue.The restaurant, Wish, is not only beautiful, but has garnered awards in most culinary categories.
